Camper van conversion of a Ford Transit 15 seat minibus into a 4 berth camper van.
Description on home page- This website is about my camper van conversion of a Ford Transit 15 seat minibus into a 4 berth camper van. I spent 12 months researching 'self build' campervans and commercial camper vans before I started my project.
My conversion took 7 months to complete over a very cold winter. There is a page on this site for each main chunk of conversion work, using the links on the left. In my opinion anyone with good DIY skills can design and complete a camper van conversion (with some assistance where required).

Mercedes Sprinter conversion - The Pampy Camper
Description on home page- In 2006 I converted a cheap Mercedes Sprinter 208D van into a comfortable campervan. I had no previous experience, but found enough information, and used enough imagination to make a lovely little campervan. I packed away my possessions, and took off on a road trip, expecting to be away for 2 months. I came back 9 months later. I was hooked on campervan'ing.

Self-build Berlingo Camping Car
Description on home page- It has always been my ambition to produce another camper, my first attempt was on a VW T2 van. I had windows put in and extended the raised rear floor with a bed platform and locker, it had to go however as I was using it to commute and it had a terrible thirst for petrol. I had been toying with the idea of adapting a Berlingo van and had done basic plans (back of an envelope) but decided that I wanted car windows. If you start modifying a car the insurance companys get twitchy and want silly premiums so an adaptation that can be removed seemed a good choice.

The Transit Conversion
Description on home Page- From The Dream To Reality. When I was a kid in the 60's, my dad once hired a Ford Thames dormobile motor caravan and took us on an adventure all around England. It was such a memorable experience, and when I had children of my own I wanted to repeat the adventure and in 1973, bought a one year old VW bay window microbus with a Danbury conversion. We had some great holidays in that and 8 years later fitted a lift up spacemaker roof, re-sprayed it and refurbed the interior.

Minibus to Motorhome
Description on home page- The thought of taking to the road to explore in a Motor Home or RV can be a very appealing one but the high cost of factory built camper vans can stop a lot of us from experiencing this unique way of travelling. But there is another way! with some basic DIY skills and some creative thinking, it's possible to build a camper van for just a few hundred pounds. That's exactly what I did with my van conversion.
If you want to know how to build a Motorhome / CamperVan very cheaply, without compromising on quality, then you've come to the right place. I'll show you how I converted a tired old Ford Transit Minibus, into a very stylish and comfortable Motor Home, for under £500!

LDV Luton box van with a Ford Transit 2.4 turbo Diesel engine
Description on home page- This was the third camper conversion project that I have undertaken. Each time they have been bigger and better! The van I chose was a Luton style box van. I felt that this size and shape would give me the most space for a 3.5ton van which is the maximum limit for a lot of standard drivers licenses. Choosing the base vehicle was obviously a vital part becasue I predicted that a large amount of my time would be invested into the project. It's an LDV Luton box van with a Ford Transit 2.4 turbo Diesel engine and 5 speed Gear Box.
